Athletic Program

Home of the Broncos, Banning High School offers a dynamic and competitive athletic program that fosters teamwork, discipline, and school pride. Our student-athletes compete in a wide range of CIF-sanctioned sports and are supported by dedicated coaches who emphasize personal growth, academic achievement, and athletic excellence. From the roar of Friday night football to the determination seen on the track and court, Bronco athletics play a vital role in building community, character, and leadership. Whether competing or cheering from the stands, our students are united in spirit and driven to succeed—on and off the field.

Career Technical Education (CTE) – Theatre Arts Pathway

Banning High School’s CTE Theatre Arts Pathway offers students a hands-on, immersive experience in the world of performing arts and technical theater. With two exciting strands—Theatre Performance and Theatre Tech—students can explore their passion for the stage or discover the behind-the-scenes magic that brings productions to life. From acting, directing, and script analysis to set design, lighting, sound, and stage management, students gain valuable real-world skills in a creative and collaborative environment. As part of the Broadway Broncos, students produce high-quality performances while building confidence, communication skills, and technical expertise that can lead to future careers in the arts, entertainment, and media industries.

Student of the Month Program

The Student of the Month program at Banning High School recognizes outstanding students who exemplify academic excellence, strong character, and a commitment to our Bronco values. Each month, students are nominated by staff for their leadership, perseverance, positive attitude, and contributions to the school community. Honorees are celebrated for going above and beyond—whether through academic achievement, acts of kindness, or school involvement. This recognition not only highlights individual success but also inspires the entire student body to strive for greatness in all areas of life.

Career Technical Education (CTE) – Digital Media: Digital Film Pathway

The Digital Film Pathway at Banning High School equips students with the creative and technical skills needed for success in the film and media industry. Through hands-on learning, students explore storytelling, cinematography, editing, sound design, and post-production using industry-standard tools and software. From short films and documentaries to promotional content and school-wide broadcasts, students bring their ideas to life while developing critical thinking, collaboration, and project management skills. This pathway prepares students for both college and career opportunities in digital media, empowering them to become the next generation of visual storytellers.

Career Technical Education (CTE) – Automotive Pathway

Banning High School’s Automotive Pathway offers students the opportunity to master real-world automotive skills through hands-on training in a fully equipped shop environment. Students learn essential maintenance, diagnostics, and repair techniques while working with industry tools and technology. The program also emphasizes safety and professionalism, with students earning certifications such as SP2 Automotive and OSHA-10, making them career-ready upon graduation. Whether pursuing immediate entry into the workforce or continuing education in automotive technology, students leave the program with the knowledge, confidence, and credentials to drive their future forward.
